Four birds hovering

Forest study 1

Street light falls on a field at night, 3 minutes

Stay aware

Keep searching for the little things

Sunflowers, darkness

This path doesn't take me anywhere

Eucalyptus seed pods, collected from Galicia

My Fathers favourite tree, the Eucalyptus

New Forest landscape

Cliff edge

Forest study 2

Dew pond, circular

Rock with circular line collected from Heddon's Mouth, once a popular desination for smugglers

The sun and moon are eternal travellers

Things are harder to see now

Eucalyptus sapling, I planted a handful of seeds when he died

Now wherever I go the Eucalyptus find me

Crucifix hung above bed, Spain

All these doors are closed

1600 years old and needing some support

Fingal's Cave, Scotland

Wooden mallet

West Kennet Avenue, a passageway of evenly spaced rocks 2400 BC

In the shadow of the rock,
like two lovers

It’s said that the side profile resembles a young lady staring to the heavens, the other side a male. Jumping to their deaths hand in hand, exiled lovers

Young Eucalyptus, Spain

The seeds I planted grow, memories fade

I made my home here

Rock pool

Yew tree study

The Sgurr of Eigg, Scotland

1,982ft above sea level, Norway

Follow the signs, Eucalyptus

Horse

Lost, in circles we wander is a meditation on the temporality of existence, a collection of images formed from an insatiable desire for exploration and questioning. A seemingly endless search across vast landscapes for something just out of reach, the struggle of loss punctuated with subtle moments of hope.
The book presents 36 black and white photographs made across the European continent; from a handful of Eucalyptus seed pods collected in Galicia to the oldest Yew tree in Sussex, from remote Hebridean Islands to the artist’s home of the New Forest.
